| Cementation USA, Inc. is looking for an experienced Project Engineer. Following are some general responsibilities associated with this position: |
Duties: |
• Facilitate engineering site activities and project engineering activities, and monthly reporting.
• Support design review and approval efforts
• Coordinate material procurement – issue RFQ’s, vendor selection, coordinate QA/QC, etc.
• Perform quality insurance checks underground (e.g. rock bolt pull testing)
• Support project controls activities by collating and organizing data to be used by Project Controls.
• Become familiarized with Project Control functions so as to be able to cover for this position in the absence of the primary staff member assigned to these duties.
• Provide on site assistance when equipment is being commissioned.
• Provide general direction to electrical/mechanical/technical supervisors, in the development of installation, operating and maintenance methods.
• Provides technical and supplier information when required for the preparation of estimates/bids.
• Recommends design and method improvements in a continuous effort to improve safety and productivity in the workplace.
• Facilitates the exchange of information about equipment and processes between field operations ensuring that improvements at one site are communicated throughout the company.

Qualifications: |
• Degree in Engineering, construction management, business management or equivalent experience
• 7+ years experience as a project engineer and/or mining engineer
• PE Certified, Strongly Preferred
• Proficient in office software applications
• Experience in reviewing and challenging contractor cost control reports, benchmarking and development of cost risk analysis procedures
• An understanding of mining and mineral processes
• Development of project plans to support overall business needs
